Twitter, Why?

Flat Eric, He's on it!
A common question isn’t it? ‘Why would I want to use Twitter?’ I’ve been on the case, trying to bring friends onboard, with some success (you know who you are).
So if you don’t know what Twitter is then you’re a) probably on the wrong page or b) cold blooded. Now we’ve got rid of that crowd I want to explain a few things I’ve experienced using Twitter in an attempt to prove it’s worth the effort:
- Found a lovely restaurant in Holborn to dine with my girlfriend and her parents (Thanks @casablanca).
- Found a by-the-hour local car rental service, and received two hours free for both me and @philhawksworth.
- Discovered the epicentre of an earthquake before the BBC could write a story (thanks @mikearthur)
- Organized a snowboarding trip with 9 friends to Slovakia.
- Received cooking tips from Jamie Oliver (or @secret_chef as he’s known)
All this plus a myriad of smaller events and the occasional laugh (mainly due to @psd or @buddenisms) has made me a devout Twittertholic. So comon, get tweeting!
